RONALD YANOSKY is a Fellow at ECAR, where he has been the principal investigator for two major studies: Shelter from the Storm: IT and Business Continuity in Higher Education (2007) and Identity Management in Higher Education: A Baseline Study (2006). He is currently acting as PI on a new study of IT governance. Until May 2005 Ron was a principal analyst at Gartner Inc., focusing on issues of higher education information technology. As a member of Gartner's higher education team, Ron published over 100 reports and research notes on a wide range of IT issues, with special emphasis on e-learning, ERP, and enterprise portals. His academic career includes six years as assistant professor of history at Harvard University, where he taught American history.
